Books to FALL in love with this season.

It might be cooling down outside (well, not in Texas ;-), but reading
season is just around the corner. This time of the year is about cozy pjs, comfy
pants, candles and cocoa. It’s also the time to curl up with a good book.
And another one and another…

When it comes to must-read books, there are some really reliable
sources out there: We’ve checked out some famous book clubs of our
favorite celebrities to find this fall’s hottest book trends. Books we
definitely cannot wait to dive in.

Actress and Producer Reese Witherspoon is not only super cute, she’s
also one of our favorite Hollywood book nerds. She lets her internal
book-lover shine with monthly book club picks at Hello Sunshine.
The club is described as a “community for the love of reading”. And that’s
proofed every month with a great new book pic. We know from
Witherspoon’s adaptions of Wild, Gone Girl ,and Big Little Lies                                                                                               (My personal favthat she picks some pretty good ones.

Here are some of our favorite Reese-approved books for this fall:
Where The Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens is Reese Witherspoon’s
September pick for Reese’s Book Club Hello Sunshine. The store follows
Kya, who learns to raise herself in the wild marshes of North Carolina
when she’s abandoned as a little girl. She gets wrapped up in heart-
wrenching, painfully beautiful romance, and even a murder mystery that
shocks the community. Speaking in Reese’s words: Her narrative will
absolutely tug at your heartstrings. You’ll be completely transported in
the story.

Another Reese-approved must-read is a “Stay Up All Night To Read
Book”: Still Lives by Maria Hummel. This read is a thrilling mystery that
will leave you wondering which characters you can and can’t trust. The
story follows a controversial female artist in LA who suddenly goes
missing, and everybody around her looks guilty.

Emma Watson is another famous name who launched her own book
club called Our Shared Shelf a couple years ago. I would say this is not
the typical mainstream book club with new books recommendations, it’s
a feminists book club. Known for her portrayal of Hermione Granger in
the Harry Potter series, Emma Watson is also a bookworm offscreen.
The group is open to anyone who would like to join, and a new book is
chosen every other month for an open discussion. Found within are not
just thoughts on the books being read, but also a treasure trove of
resources regarding feminism and women’s issues.

Oprah Winfrey is THE name and THE reliable source when it comes to
famous book clubs and must-reads for the upcoming fall season! Her
book club selects a new book every month for more than twenty years
now.  You can check it out here.

Her most recent pick is The Sun Does Shine: How I Found Life and
Freedom on Death Row, by Anthony Ray Hinton. In her words: “You will
be swept away into this unbelievable, dramatic true story."
Oprah Book Club
In 1985, Anthony Ray Hinton was arrested and charged with two counts
of capital murder in Alabama. Stunned, confused, and only twenty-nine
years old, Hinton knew that it was a case of mistaken identity and
believed that the truth would prove his innocence and ultimately set him
free. But as Hinton realized and accepted his fate, he resolved not only to
survive, but find a way to live on Death Row.
With the help of civil rights attorney and bestselling author of Just Mercy,
Bryan Stevenson, Hinton won his release in 2015.
The Sun Does Shine is an extraordinary testament to the power of hope
sustained through the darkest times. Destined to be a classic memoir of
wrongful imprisonment and freedom won, Hinton’s memoir tells his
dramatic thirty-year journey and shows how you can take away a man’s
freedom, but you can’t take away his imagination, humor, or joy.

Slip into something comfy (we have some suggestions for you…  ;) ),
grab your softest blanket and curl up on the couch with your favorite
book.
