Getaway Paradise(s)!!

When I think vacation, I think warmer temps, sun and fun! With or without the kids,  vacations are a much needed break from the winter and the school/work/day to day routine.  And of course, we think HEIDI HOUSTON has you perfectly dressed for any destination :)

And speaking of destinations, I want to elaborate on a few of my favorites!

If you are taking the kids on a  getaway may I recommend:

Four Seasons Orlando at Walt Disney World.  Disney World is one of the most magical places on the planet, but let's be honest, it can be overwhelming and tiring for parents and kids alike!  The Four Seasons Orlando is total luxury, and a calm oasis from the hustle and bustle of the Disney parks.  It has a super convenient location to the Disney Parks, yet you'll feel miles away.  Think gourmet dining, an amazing pool with water slides and water fun for the kids, plus an adults only pool option. Also a great spa and golf course on property! A true win - win for parents and kids that keeps the Disney magic alive!

Nizuc- This beachfront property is a short drive from the Cancun airport and is a true paradise!  This resort has 6 restaurants, all delicious and kid friendly.  There is a huge infinity pool overlooking the ocean with a swim up bar and an adults only pool as well.  They also have an amazing kids club! From face painting and piñatas  to water balloons and video games, the kids club has it all..... perfect for kids of all ages! Many of the rooms have their own pools and spacious outdoor living spaces.  And the spa is luxurious with it's own pool too.  A true paradise!!

If you're taking a vacation without children, here are two of my favorites:

Imanta - This luxe getaway is located in Punta Mita, Mexico, about a 45 minute drive from the Puerto Vallarta airport.  Instead of a typical hotel, each spectacular room here is unattached from the others with their own private pool and outdoor lounging area.  The food is truly incredible and the staff  really never say no to any request, even if you're asking for something off the menu!  The location of this hotel has ocean on one side and jungle on the other, complete with a jungle spa.  This place is isolated in the best way and makes you feel worlds away from reality. A true gem!

Mukul - located on Nicaragua's Emerald Coast, this place is truly a "secret" luxury resort.  It's a quick 10 minutes from the airport and all rooms have plunge pools.  Like Imanta, this resort is surrounded by ocean and rainforests... a true treat from Mother Nature.  There is an oceanfront golf course and six different spa sanctuaries- the best and most unique spa experiences of my life! The owner of this resort also owns a rum company, so you are in for a real treat if that is your libation of choice :)  The food was outstanding and again, the staff is amazing.
