Christmas Morning Mimosas (next week just call them “New Year’s
Mimosas” – they will be as good as the Christmas ones ; ).
It’s like a Christmas present for you wrapped up in a champagne flute!
The recipe (serves 6):
1 bottle champagne (750 ml)
¾ cup cranberry, blood orange or pomegranate juice (whatever you
prefer)
rosemary springs, for garnish
sugared cranberries, for garnish
Add an ounce of juice to the bottom of a champagne flute. Fill it up with
Champagne, garnish with rosemary and cranberries, and cheers!
How to make sugared cranberries:
You need: 2 cups granulated sugar, water and 1 (12-ounce) bag fresh
cranberries.
Combine ½ cup sugar and ½ cup water in a medium saucepan over
medium heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved, about 2-3 minutes. Stir in
cranberries until well coated. Using a slotted spoon, transfer to wire rack;
let dry for at least 1 hour. Working in batches, roll cranberries in
remaining 1 ½ cups sugar until well coated; let dry for at least 1 hour.
You might not need all of the sugared cranberries for your drinks – they
are a delicious snack, too!
